Wow! I can’t believe that I am actually publishing my first blog post! The road to this point has had some twists and turns and I am so happy to be launching this blog today.
The idea to blog came about when I was planning to start my own financial planning firm that focuses on helping young families and professionals; basically my friends, myself, and people like us. I really want to help our generation make smart financial moves and avoid missteps along the way.
I decided to write this blog for two reasons.
First, I believe in the abundance mentality. As the great Winston Churchill said:
“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
– Sir Winston Churchill
Second, most of us aren’t formally educated about personal finance or the impact that our financial choices make on our lives.
I want to share what I’ve learned in nine years of financial planning to help you make sense of your financial life. You see, I love financial planning. I know. It’s a weird thing to love and it makes me a total geek. I embrace my inner geek wholeheartedly and then I go surf to make myself feel better about it.
I’m writing a weekly blog that speaks to the issues that we all face as we move forward with our lives, pursue our careers, and build our families. My hope is that you find the weekly posts educational, thoughtful, and maybe even entertaining.
This whole blog thing is very new for me so please let me know what you think along the way. I hope you will share your financial questions and concerns with me. If you have a question about something that is troubling you, someone else is probably thinking about the same thing.
Feel free to contact me at email@example.com and you can sign up for the weekly blog posts by using the form below.
